Congresswoman Hinson’s town hall held Wednesday the 27th in Cresco had 40 people in attendance. Hinson spoke for thirty minutes praising Trump and herself over the past disastrous eight months. Two people spoke supporting her and the rest questioned her record.
Kudos to Hinson for understanding the concerns of a young mother of four and giving her a contact card to help her navigate the Medicaid barriers her family faces.
It was painfully obvious the individuals questioning Hinson, Trump and Republican decisions the past eight months were not taken seriously. Unfortunately, Hinson made light of the points her constituents raised. The points raised were backed by facts while Hinson stuck to her Republican talking points, completely ignoring the evidence presented.
Sending a letter to Hinson gets you a canned Republican response. She doesn't read your comments nor is she interested in the concerns of her constituents and these town halls are merely window dressing. Trump's approval ratings are in the 30s, his obsession with tariffs are ruining the economy, the budget bill is rejected 2-1 by Americans and the agricultural industry is on the verge of collapse. The GOP have built a fortress of protection around an incompetent and unstable man. They support him as he removes the checks and balances fundamental to our democracy and allow him to illegally make billions of dollars off the presidential office. In 2026 voters can put an end to this lunacy!
