Vote out officials who do not work for you

To the editor:
I saw a recent article in The Gazette about our property taxes going up ('Some pay more, others less,” March 13).
But rest easy, only a little bit, the story said. But why is it these people in charge of this task are the ones that voted themselves a nice raise again? And let's not forget that business taxes are going down. We know what business in Cedar Rapids that will help. People, wake up, if you did not vote, do not complain. When you do not vote you are helping these people stay in office. Go to work and ask your boss for a raise. guess what, it probably will not happen. But yet we have people in office that can do this for themselves and raise our taxes. One solution to this problem - vote them out!
