Vote out Congress members beholden to special interests
When the men and women who fought World War II returned, and with the help of most of the country, they built a society that was the envy of the world.
A booming economy, guaranteed 12 years of education that was second to none. Anyone could buy a home, Social Security, Medicare, child labor laws, 40-hour work weeks. Then politicians and big money got involved, and it's been downhill ever since.
They want to change schools to charter schools, which means profit before education. They want to privatize Social Security and give that money to Wall Street, which has proved over and over it can't be trusted with money.
Congress is an insult to America. In their greed for money and power, they lick the boots of special interests. One party is doing everything, legal or illegal, moral or immoral, to limit voting rights to citizens who would disagree with their agenda.
Inform yourself as to whether your Congress person represents you or special interests. If they don't represent you, vote them out of office.
