Vote for your country, not a party

I have never before this year written about anything political. Why this year? I have never before feared for the future of our country as I do now. We have citizens who support a man who said he can do whatever he wants to women, who insults our veterans, who mocks and imitates our disabled, who pays less taxes than most Americans. Based on experts' opinions, this man could have saved at least 40,000 lives if he had acted responsibly about COVID. He teaches our young people that lying, insulting, bullying, putting labels on people, avoiding taxes are paths to becoming president. Are those really the values we want in our children? He lies so often not even Republicans dispute it.
We know from history what can happen when people blindly follow an unethical leader. We now have people following our leader in maskless masses, causing more and more deaths. This man calls himself the Chosen One and the best president of all time.
We know that there are fewer abortions under Democratic administrations, and we know that Obama/Biden did a fantastic job of rebuilding our economy which Joe Biden can do again. So, I ask myself: Why would any honest American vote for the president? The only conclusion I can come to is they're voting for the same party they have for years. This year, that is not voting American.
I am not a Democrat but an independent who will proudly vote for honor and decency - Joe Biden.
