Vote for who you want, but don’t make it all about the other guy

In showing that he is wearing a hat as red as it can possibly be, Adam Cooper, ( who was critical of Norman Sherman's “Joy” column, tells us his paramount concern regarding Kamala Harris is she changes her position on, if you will, everything from fracking to immigration. That's all well and good. But is he really more concerned with changing positions, or is he just tossing issues at a wall to see what sticks? What creates a rallying point?
This is America, where I strongly encourage him to vote for the candidates of his choice. But to slam one candidate to try to get support for another is, to me, anyway, just showing that, maybe one can't find enough good things to say for the candidates of one’s choice.
But please correct me if I am wrong.
