Vote for politicians who focus on people

Listening to the political ads from both parties, one might conclude the election is a contest about who loves Iowa the most.
I think it is safe to assume that all the candidates love Iowa. They probably love Iowa more than most of us. Otherwise, why would they submit themselves to the rigors of campaigning and public service? Let's leave love out of the equation when going to the polls and look at policies that benefit most people rather than most corporations.
Jack Hatch as governor, Bruce Braley as U.S. Senator and Pat Murphy as U.S. Representative are candidates who will stand for equal pay for equal work, support a higher minimum wage, recognize and deal with climate change, and work for higher wage jobs, while protecting Social Security and Medicare from the vicissitudes of the stock market.
It's time for Iowans to refute outside corporate and right-wing influence in our political process and do what is best for people, and not corporations on Nov. 4.
