Vote for government that reflects Iowa values

In the most recent Legislature we saw some pretty strange policy decisions that run counter to Iowa values. Yet we hear the lawmakers who rammed those policies through claim they believe in Iowa values.
Iowans have always been strongly in favor of great education, yet we saw the Legislature squeeze school district budgets tighter and tighter. Iowans believe in good jobs and good pay, yet we saw the Legislature dismantle labor laws that had worked well for over 40 years in an effort to kill unions in Iowa. We also saw the Legislature stop counties from raising local minimum wages that would have raised living standards. Iowans believe in good health care, yet we saw the Legislature pass a law that allows health insurance that includes pre-existing condition exceptions. Iowans have always backed higher education, yet the Legislature made it nearly impossible for middle class families to send their kids to college. The Legislature cut taxes for the wealthy. That certainly goes against Iowans' egalitarian beliefs.
Want a government that returns Iowa to Iowa values? Then vote for Jodi Clemens in House District 73 and for Fred Hubbell as governor. They believe in the real Iowa values that you do.
