Vote Democrat for a better nation

Welcome, traveler, to Snark World, where nice has been given a post mortem, where public expressions of humanity and civility have given way to baseless claims and name calling; where reason has ceded to rage; all in lieu of a decent sound bite, Facebook post or tweet.
People have been disillusioned by The Government ('The Congressional Military Industrial Complex,” 'The Establishment,” 'The Man,” or whatever the 'soulless monolith” is called) at least since the Vietnam era. Public frustration has grown all the while and (at least) 50 years hence, we are a society clinging to its roots; the basis of which used to be grounded in the Golden Rule (Oh, please. Do I really have to quote it herein?)
OK, so, either as a whole or by the subset, we are an upset people. I get it. And be angered, be irate, be outraged because one has truly earned that right. We have all been in that place at least once.
But also be a leader. Think about the consequences of actions. Try to comprehend another person's point of view. Be compassionate. The Republicans can no longer achieve these goals of polite culture. The tenets of Grand Old (respectable) Party of Reagan and Bush and even George W. Bush are disintegrating with each passing day.
This year the true leaders are the Democrats. Watch the news, see the real difference on display, and then vote for civility and humanity. Vote the straight Democratic ticket for a better nation.
