Volunteers thanked for time, talent

To the editor:

Now that I have spent the last eight months pestering all of Linn County, I have a few finishing touches to complete.

First and foremost: thank you! At last count, there will be over 400 people volunteering at Democrat precinct caucuses in our county alone. We have 86 voter precincts in and around the Cedar Rapids area and the coordinating these caucus sites has required an amazing amount of work behind the scenes, long before the gavel is to fall on Monday night.

Accordingly, my sincere gratitude and appreciation goes out to all the site managers and their personnel, to all the temporary chairpersons and secretaries, and to the Executive and Ad Hoc Committees of the Linn County Democrats. Thank you, everyone, for all the help you have provided us en route to the 2016 Iowa caucuses.
