Voices not being heard in C.R. school district

The Cedar Rapids Community School District needs a serious adjustment, but not with the district's lines. The people making the decisions are what really need to change.
My child attends Wright Elementary, which has been recommended to attend Washington High School instead of Kennedy. Wright would be the only school from Harding that would proceed to Washington. When I found out about this proposed change, I was very upset and contacted the superintendent's board and the board of education. I received in return a form email with a link to the recommendations that had been made, which of course I already knew about. So I decided to speak at the upcoming board of education meeting but couldn't find the request form on the CRCSD website. And I am quite computer savvy.
At first I felt the Wright community had been overlooked, but now I feel as though we are just unwanted. As taxpaying constituents, our voices deserve to be paid attention to. Both the superintendent's board and the board of education have severely disappointed me to the point that I am researching private schooling. In the next election I will be voting for none of them to return if they continue to purposely ignore the very people they are supposed to be representing. I urge everyone else to do the same who have felt similarly cheated.
