To the editor:
This is an unconditional and complete thank you to everyone who was involved with bringing and hosting the Vietnam traveling wall to Mount Mercy University on Sept. 17-21, including the university's president Laurie Hamen, Mayor Ron Corbett and Supervisor Ben Rogers.
All of the staff at Mount Mercy - with a special thanks to Dr. Nguyen, all the other companies and corporations, American Legion Post 298, VFW Post 788, and all the veterans and auxiliaries from the different military organizations who stepped up and pulled their duty without complaint.
The professionalism, displays and complete caring environment shown to all veterans, students and general public was above and beyond the call.
Those of us who volunteered to welcome each and everyone who came to visit the wall were completely involved in the process. Our faith in God, with the complete understanding and support to help each and everyone who came was filled with God's grace of helpfulness. Those of us combat veterans who had the opportunity to escort the visitors through this visitation of holy ground salute America.
