Veterans responsible for land of free, brave
Jun. 3, 2010 12:43 am
We live in a country that is called “The Land Of The Free” and “The Home of the Brave.” We hear those words every time someone sings our national anthem. But, are we really listening when those words are sung?
Yes we are free, free to do most any thing we want, that isn't against the laws of the land. However, we wouldn't have that freedom if it weren't for the generosity of spirit of those brave people who have dedicated their lives to give our country the title “The Home Of The Brave”!
Memorial Day was set aside to honor those brave souls who have given us our freedom. The veterans, both living and deceased, who with their brave generous spirit fought to assure that “we the people” could maintain our lives, free in the knowledge that we are living in the only country in the world that is truly “The Land Of The Free” and “The Home Of The Brave”!
