Veterans paid for Bloom’s speech freedom

The Dec. 16 column by Orlan Love (“Taking the counterpoint for Iowa hunters, anglers”) in response to Stephen Bloom's article about Iowa and Iowans, hit the nail right on the head.
As a journalism professor, Bloom should get his facts straight before penning such an article. Or, are we to believe this is what he teaches his students on how to be a reporter?
Bloom should find something else to do in his spare time. Like volunteer work. I'm thinking maybe sweeping the floors and washing the windows at all veterans organization buildings in Johnson County.
Plus, making sure the graves of veterans in Johnson County are always neat and tended. After all, the veterans pay the price for Bloom to say what he did, even if they would not agree with it.
