To the editor:
The Veterans Memorial Building in Cedar Rapids is a treasure for all of Eastern Iowa.
The first floor museum is first rate thanks to Veterans Memorial Assistant Director Teri Van Dorston and her team. It was a pleasure this spring to help with the Vietnam Museum and work with Director Scott Droessler of Community of Veterans and Artists on the fifth floor at the request of Van Dorston.
Cedar Rapids is fortunate to have such quality people in our community. After working at the Smithsonian and the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Van Dorston has made Cedar Rapids her home and we are the beneficiaries. Citizens and veterans should make time to see this great building and all that it offers.
