Veterans Home is preparing now for Christmas

Thank you to those who graciously donate to the residents at the Iowa Veterans Home. We currently have about 500 residents with a variety of needs.

Our Volunteer Advisory Committee is raising money for a Christmas fund, used to purchase gifts for residents. Giving for Christmas will warm your heart and let each resident know they are not forgotten. Daily needs include word search puzzles, shampoo, deodorant, body wash, candy bars, individually wrapped snacks, soda and forever stamps.

Many questions have come up about clothing donations. At this time only new clothing is being accepted. Our greatest need is for men's extended sized clothing - extra-large and up.
