To the editor:
Regarding the Nov. 11 letter 'Eastern Iowa Honor Flight honored veterans”:
Eastern Iowa Honor Flight did a good thing by honoring the veterans. I think they should do this more often. No one should forget what the veterans have done for us.
More people need to realize how much freedom we have because of the price our veterans have paid. This visit to the memorial is a good way to remember the veterans who have fought for our freedom. We need to keep the memories of our past heroes alive. As a nation we need to remember the sacrifices of brave men and women. We need to do the same for this generation and the next generation.
Eastern Iowa Honor Flight provides a memorable day for veterans who have served their country. We should never forget the people who helped us become a free country.
