Very little time to battle climate change

You cannot change what you do not acknowledge. It is time to acknowledge climate change. Perhaps the name 'climate change” misleads people into thinking it is a manageable change. It is not.

Pause for a moment and get your head around this. Hundreds of millions will be displaced globally. There also will be massive global migrations and desperate conflicts over resources. Wars will result as unwelcome populations invade and deplete resources.

There also will be storms and droughts, fires and floods. It sounds absurdly hyperbolic but it is already starting.

According to an article last month in the New York Times by David Wallace Wells, there is a reflexive tendency in the human psyche to deny catastrophic thinking. We automatically screen out information that goes against our cognitive bias. Unfortunately, just because it's a catastrophic, doesn't mean it isn't true. The fix is fairly easy but is must be done soon.

Climate catastrophe is no longer in the distant future. It is almost too late … but not quite. We have about 10 years to change what we're doing. If we decrease green house gas, we could forestall the climate apocalypse.

We can choose to acknowledge this reality and change our behavior or let an irreversible climate catastrophe occur. It is our choice. If you choose to help, vote only for those who believe that reversing man-made climate change is the top priority.
