Vernon’s actions guided by what’s best for C.R.

Monica Vernon is a good friend of mine who deserves to be re-elected to Cedar Rapids City Council from District 2. Monica has been good for Cedar Rapids, having helped move the agenda forward as our city rebounds from the flood. Monica is at her best when interacting with people. She is a good listener and able to show empathy for people in need. People from all over the city call her with their problems and concerns.

Monica owns her own business and started it from scratch with an idea of how to help businesses and heads of businesses make informed decisions that strengthen their bottom lines. We are fortunate to have a person on City Council with a business background. Monica continues to amaze me with her knowledge and her use of this knowledge to make informed decisions that affect our community in a favorable manner.

I have known Monica for over 20 years. I have not always agreed with her decisions but respect how she has processed information to make them in the best interest of her district and her whole community. Monica is the right person for another four-year term for Council from District 2.
