Vernon, Poe are the more-seasoned leaders

I am happy to see young people develop an interest in government and public policy. But, I support Monica Vernon and Ann Poe instead of their young opponents for city council.
Research shows young brains mature later. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the prefrontal cortex (where all the executive functions such as decision making, organization, goal-directed behavior and the ability to delay gratification occur) doesn't develop fully until age 25.
We need the experience of more seasoned people at this time. I hope the young men will consider running again some day.
Adults develop wisdom through life experience. They buy homes and run businesses. These women have served our city in one of the worst times in its history. They know our difficult problems well having worked hard on solutions. They don't blame the government for our problems because they know they are the government as elected officials representing us.
