Vernon is far more qualified than Nelson

Monica Vernon has proved that she has District 2 and Cedar Rapids at heart. She has the knowledge and foresight to keep a good balance of the downtown, District 2, and all the areas affected by the flood of 2008.
She is a proven good business person, has been involved with various metro area planning organizations and is actively involved with a number of volunteer groups. She knows how to get the most bang for our buck.
I recently received two postcards in the mail. One supported Monica and the other supported her opponent, Taylor Nelson. Nelson's postcard presented generally misleading and incorrect material. Based on his lack of knowledge during the District 2 debate and misleading information about Vernon on this postcard, I do not believe Nelson has the qualifications to serve on the city council.
Vernon's postcard clearly presented what she has accomplished and what she will do. She found no need to attack her opponent.
Nelson may be a real politician some day but just doesn't have the experience and knowledge to decide how my tax dollars should be spent. Those of you that want to clean house, please reconsider!
