Vast majority of people know limits

Where are the “Just Say No” people when it comes to our local convention centers, movie theaters, playhouses, restaurants, shopping districts, etc.?
I suspect the monetary losses experienced by patronizing these venues will be beyond enormous.
Imagine the dollars lost on entertainment, food and drink already realized, not to mention what's to come with, among many other things, the recently opened NewBo City Market, the newly remodeled Paramount Theatre and the soon-to-be-open Cedar Rapids Convention complex and hotel. Save us, “Just Say No” people.
Sarcasm aside, a new casino is very much akin to a new convention complex or a new sports stadium or movie complex or theater district. People, by and large, spend their money to be entertained and the vast majority know their limitation, whether those expenses are for concerts, restaurants, stage plays or casino experiences of fine dining, big-name entertainers and, yes, games of chance!
It's hard to see a new casino as anything but a needed boost to our economy. Let's make it happen!
