VA staff commended for providing care

I wish to thank the overwhelming majority of doctors, nurses and staff of the VA hospitals around the country.
They have always and always will give their best efforts to the care of our veterans. These people are appreciated by those they attend to and even though they are often overworked and understaffed, they carry on.
The recent allegations at some of the country's VA hospitals, if proven to be true, are a serious breach of trust between caregivers and patients.
For those that have violated our trust, I feel you have let yourselves down as well as your country. However, when leniency can be applied we should and where the law has been broken you should be held to account.
Let it be known that these kinds of events do not happen in a vacuum. Those politicians who run to place someone else's son or daughter in harm's way and then hide behind their office are complicit.
