Use Canney’s name on bridge or school

Some thoughts on perpetuating the name and memory of honorable former mayor Don Canney:
I recently drove by The Eastern Iowa Airport. While observing the attractive sign, I realized changing it and the letterhead would be costly in a depressed economy.
Also, it is not so much in the city he served. It is close to Johnson County, and Eastern Iowa is appropriate and not cumbersome.
However, using “Don Canney 5-in-One Bridge and Dam” would be even better. Or why not put his name on the next school to be built in Cedar Rapids? That honor would be hard to top.
