UI, C.R. actions show mix-up in priorities

I am glad Iowa won the Orange Bowl. It was a well-played game. But why give the coaches more money for the job they were hired to do? There are people who could not even think of going to the Orange Bowl (can't afford it). Sometimes I think we have our priorities mixed up.

On another note: Why build a new parking lot in downtown Cedar Rapids when we have not responsibly taken care of what we have? Compare that to the streets in Cedar Rapids - same story!

We have a new mayor now, and some new council members, and hopefully somebody will ask and listen to the common person before they make some decisions. I just hate to see our city go downhill. We need people who care and do not feel they need to be paid bonuses for what they do.
