U.S. can’t delay addressing health care
The Gazette Opinion Staff

It has just been reported that health care expenditures in the United States for 2009 totaled $2.5 trillion. That amounts to more than $8,000 for every man, woman and child in our country. It is projected to double by 2019. It is no longer an option to delay dealing with this critical issue. Every citizen in the country, including corporate America and especially all members of Congress, must address the issue with complete disregard to political stripe.
Numerous other countries deliver quality health care at a fraction of the cost the United States does.
The vast majority of people in this country want this problem to be addressed now.
