Trust individuals to make health decisions

Cheap political points in a letter bashing Planned Parenthood (“Time to get involved in fight against abortion,” May 7) disregard the reality women across Iowa face every day.
Planned Parenthood is a full-service health care provider that offers a woman all the information she needs to make her own health care decisions in a non-judgmental fashion. Staff at the local Planned Parenthood health center are dedicated to providing quality health care, with the compassion and understanding a woman facing a difficult time needs.
The writer of the letter dismisses that women have unique circumstances, and that what works for some, may not be the best decision for others. I, for one, trust individuals to make the best decisions for their own health care because I'll never know what it's like to live a day in her shoes.
