Trump supporters’ ‘Faustian bargain’ rebuttal

In regards to Charles Crawley's Sept. 1 letter, I agree. These criminals committing these crimes, don't talk to God. If they do, it's a twisted sense of reality they live in. Some can be helped. Some can't. Where are the parents?
As far as Trumpian Republicans and Trumpian Christians supporting Trump being part of the problem, I would like to invite anyone to my church. The one I was born and grew up in. There are three generations of Republican and Democrat Christians in that church. I defy anyone to find one who has decided to support Trump who fits your theory. They're not stupid people.
It's not Trump. These terrible things happened before Trump too. Much of this could be solved if some news commentators did what they were supposed to. Report news instead of trying to train lemmings to follow them over the cliff.
Where's the problem then? Fredric Douglass, 1818-1895, an author and former slave, said it best.
'Power concedes nothing without a demand.
'It never did and it never will.
'Find out just what any people will quietly submit to.
'And you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them.”
Who's trying to control our minds, sway our opinions, turn our country into a one party system at any cost? Don't believe everything you hear without proof, not hearsay. Smart people will figure it out. The rest will need a parachute. It's a long way off that cliff.
