Trump should work on his demeanor

To the editor:
I must have missed something along my way of maturing to a senior citizen. When did enough of our population become fascinated by a man with the demeanor of Donald Trump to elevate him to the on/off lead of the Republican presidential nominees?
The Republicans have better choices than Trump. If he were to become president, I would be embarrassed for our country to have him speak for us to the rest of the world as our leader.
The office of president must have a person who shows the best personal qualities, not one who keys on how inadequate all other candidates are. The Republicans have other candidates who far excel Trump in having personal qualities.
I have long been a registered Republican, but if Trump becomes their nominee for president, I will jump ship and vote for almost any Democrat who displays better manners than Trump.
