Late evening on Election Day 2024 it seemed to me that we, the voters and the nonvoters, had delivered no less than a kick in the groin to the Greatest Generation. "Thanks for your service but we're going with the autocrat." Four months later that impression has only been reinforced. The President continues to make autocrats great again and to make this country less trustworthy, more stingy and meaner by the day.
He would have us believe that we became one of the richest countries in the world, holder of the reserve currency of the world with the world's biggest supply of billionaires, by being taken advantage of by the rest of the world!
It seems that it's the apprentice in the White House who is seeking advantage — and a third term. If you wish to assist just be still, put your copy of the Constitution back in your pocket and hope for an election.
