Trump doesn’t keep his promises

I didn't even have to read the whole Dec. 28 Cal Thomas diatribe, as part of one sentence jumped out at me. Biden should pardon Trump in exchange for Trump's promise not to seek political office. Trump's promise? Would that be like the one where he promised to release his tax returns? Trump hasn't kept a promise in years. Why would he start now?
