Trespassing charges should be dropped
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 13, 2011 11:29 pm
The Gazette reported that University of Iowa police arrested three men for charging the field after the Iowa football game with Michigan (“3 cited for charging Kinnick field,” Nov. 6).
Please, somebody tell me that they committed more serious infractions than just gaining access to the field with many other jubilant fans after the game to celebrate the victory. Should those who weren't arrested be concerned that they will be tracked down and arrested? I hope the judge throws the trespassing charges out.
