On Oct. 15 my wife, Connie, and I stayed at an RV park north of Cedar Rapids. We were pulling a fifth wheel RV trailer. On the morning of Oct. 16 we were pulling onto I-380 to go to Green Bay, WI. We received a warning message the we had no trailer brakes. We stopped in at Bish's RV sales and service north of Urbana off I-380.
This was a Saturday morning and not all the service technicians were working. A tech name Charlie made a quick check of the brakes and replaced the emergency brake away switch. The manager of Bish's RV, Tim Carr, came out and advised me he could get us in for a complete check of the brakes on Oct. 17. The service department was booked out to 3 weeks, but since we were traveling they would get us in early Monday morning. Tim also advised us if we didn’t have place to stay he would move some trailers around and hook our trailer up to electricity and we could stay there. We checked and found we could stay at the RV park we had stayed at the night before. They checked the brakes on Monday morning and they were working properly and got us back on the road before noon.
The kindness and caring of Tim Carr and the other Bish employees was wonderful.
