Train shuttle service is needed to Mount Pleasant

If we will not have passenger rail service to Chicago from Iowa City, would it be possible to have shuttle service from Cedar Rapids and Iowa City to Mount Pleasant for both east and west trains?
It would be safer for our cars not to be parked two days or more unattended in the train station and save on fuel for everyone. People who do not drive distances have to rely on air or bus travel. The train is much roomier than either of those methods of travel. It would save money - millions of dollars for the state and federal government. We would only need one or two shuttle buses and one or two drivers. How much could that be compared to the millions of dollars it would cost to build the Iowa City rail system and maintain it?
I just took a trip to Glenwood Springs, Colo., where they have shuttles between every small community for workers and vacationers. We could have a shuttle system that would be used here to Iowa City, the train in Mount Pleasant, the Amanas, outlet malls and local state parks. We could start with the train shuttle. We do not need an expensive system of rails directly in the area.
With gas getting so expensive, we need to find a way to travel that is cost effective and saves on fuel.
