Trails are wonderful way to enjoy outdoors

I want to thank the city for providing such varied and well maintained walking (and biking) trails. There are eight of them in the city - Cherokee Trail, Cherry Hill Trail, Noelridge Park Trail, Nixon Park Trail, Cedar River Trail, Cedar Lake Loop Trail, Prairie Park Fishery Loop Trail, and the oldest National Recreational Trail in Iowa, the Sac and Fox Trail.
I hope you'll find one near you that you can enjoy throughout the year. The Parks and Recreation Department keeps them well maintained and even grooms them for cross-country skiing when there's enough snow on the ground. Right now, the Sac Fox is temporarily interrupted for the placement of a city sewer line but most of it (seven miles) is still available to walk on.
If we want Iowa designated as a healthy state, the trails are a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors while feeling good about yourself. Thanks to the city for making it possible and easy.
