Traffic cameras not good for tourism

Today I received a “notice of violation” for speeding on Interstate 380 in Cedar Rapids. It was captured by your new camera system. There is no doubt that I am guilty but there is something fundamentally wrong with this! There isn't a driver today that hasn't accidentally exceeded the posted speed limit somewhere. Usually in an area where the speed limit drops and you just aren't paying attention.
This is such a strange feeling. Like “Big Brother” is watching you and if you do anything wrong we are going to punish you! Where does it stop?
As long as we have lived in Iowa, we have enjoyed going to Cedar Rapids for weekend getaways, shopping trips, concerts, etc. This usually happens two or three times per year. We also drive through once a month when visiting relatives in the Quad Cities and make it our fast food or gas stop.
I can honestly say I will never stop and do business in Cedar Rapids again as long as I live if I can avoid it. I hope the revenue generated from the Big Brother cameras is worth it because it sure doesn't do much as a tourism attraction!
