Traffic camera system is flawed

This issue really isn't traffic cameras. People in this city have a problem with the type of system that city officials purchased. They got cameras that take poor quality pictures of only the back of the vehicle and cite violations without any evidence of the driver.
If Cedar Rapids were interested in reducing traffic violations and not just making money, it should purchase a system such as the one used in Tucson, Ariz., which takes a clear picture of the front, rear and driver of the vehicle. There is no question about the violation or the driver.
I am frustrated by the continued talk about cameras in general and not the specific deficiencies of the system that this city implemented.
This camera system is a miscarriage of justice, and I doubt if any research was done before its purchase.
