Too much money spent on lawbreaking area

This city has a perfect opportunity to make thousands of dollars by ticketing jaywalkers on First Avenue near 14th and 15th streets SE. Instead, it is considering spending tens of thousands on a concrete barrier to discourage the violators.
In addition, a special police station has had to be put in service in this same area because of the increased amount of violence and public disturbance. Stop patronizing this group of people and start using our tax money to enrich the lives of law-abiding people.
