These are exciting times! Being a part of the ‘Friends of Cedar Lake’ group the past seven years, has been a very fulfilling and rewarding experience. We, Charlie Visek and I, got to work together with Felicia Wyrick and Dale Todd.
Together, having a shared vision for Cedar Lake, creating awareness, enjoying activities on and around the lake, all helped to see this project come to reality! The Oct. 7 groundbreaking ceremony was the beginning of the improvements to come. Soon we will see a great future for the lake that is in the heart of our city!
We both feel that Dale Todd has a lot of local credibility. We’ve seen his enthusiasm, drive and commitment to this project. He’s seen in the neighborhoods, at events talking to people in our community, listening to concerns, doing his research and following up. His successful leadership has created and supported experiences that our residents can now enjoy. He can get things done.
He even made sure we had enough of the “City Manager’s Clean Up CR” bags when a garden club and a Bible study group wanted to help pick up some debris on the shores of Cedar Lake.
Let’s reward his enthusiasm and dedication going forward for this community by giving Dale Todd our support for his run for City Council. Let’s let him continue doing what we know he can do for us, the residents of Cedar Rapids.
