Time to end the 'nanny' state
N/A
Oct. 30, 2010 12:11 am
Do you realize what is taking place in our country?
Having lived through nearly 75 percent of the 20th century, I have witnessed a gradual and overall a dramatic shift in the culture and philosophy of a majority of the American people. We now have an administrative that intends to push this country all the way to a “nanny state.”
This country has progressed to the biggest success story of all of history only because people were allowed to work hard, take risks and not have the fruits of their labor confiscated by government.
We now have an administration that has put the nation on the verge of bankruptcy, and they keep doing things to further the push there.
I greatly fear that our children and grandchildren will inherit an endless pit without any way out. Yes, they are partly to blame for their part in the present administration being in control the last two years. But we all can help put a stop to the reckless course the current administration is pursuing.
Come Tuesday, make sure that Congressman Braley and Congressman Loebsack have a can tied to each of their tails.
