Time to change conversation about guns

Sadly, it appears that Iowa senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, and Rep. Rod Blum think gun ownership is about grandpa taking little Chuck or little Joni or little Rod out to walk the fields to hunt pheasants.
Only 15 percent of Americans are hunters and 3 percent of gun owners own more than half of all the guns in the U.S. The days of the 12 gauge with a three-shell chamber are as gone as the days of the Brown Bess musket. Today's firearms are capable of dealing astounding amounts of death and destruction and mass shooters don't wear blaze orange to identify themselves. Politicians, get with it or get out of the way.
