There’s a clear choice in Iowa’s 1st District

The people of Iowa's 1st Congressional District have an easy choice this year. Just read the side-by-side campaign columns in Monday's Gazette. Abby Finkenaur talks about where her love for politics comes from and how important it is for politicians to work for the people they represent. And yes that means being bipartisan and together accomplishing whatever benefits most Iowans. She briefly states some things she has done or at least helped to get done but also admits there is much more work to do. No slamming her opponent.
In her column, Ashley Hinson immediately starts denigrating Finkenaur and gives the impression that Nancy Pelosi and Democrats are actually in charge in Washington D. C. She tells us how bad Finkenaur is and offers the typical bait-and-switch rhetoric of Republicans as her own words. Hinson, like other Republicans in office in Des Moines and in D.C., takes no responsibility for the insanity in the White House and continually shout from the rooftops that only the Republicans can fix what is wrong with our republic. I see no plan. So, 1st District voters, get out there and make sure good work keeps being done for you. There are too many examples of harmful or poor legislation happening in Iowa. Don't let it spill into Washington.
