There are still kind people in this world
Oct. 3, 2023 6:00 am
In the midst of political and racial unrest, murders, mass shopliftings, people just being cruel in general and loss of respect for others and their property I had a very uplifting experience recently.
I shopped where I was to box my own groceries. A man, probably as old as I am, saw me struggling. He stepped forward and boxed my groceries for me.
Later, as I was hurrying to get to a medical supply store before it closed, I opened the hatchback of my car and out came this big box full of groceries. The groceries, including a broken glass bottle of sweet/sour sauce, were all over the pavement where I'd parked.
Seeing me upset and in a hurry, a young woman approached me and started cleaning up the sticky mess, telling me to go on. These two people showed such kindness and it made my day. To them I say, "Thank you for caring." There are still kind people in this world.
