The Tea Party doesn’t represent respect

Diana Bredenberg, in her Oct. 17 letter, characterizes those taking part in the Occupy Wall Street protest as “ … anarchists. Communists, unionists, Marxists and socialists.” While there are indeed some kooky-looking characters in those crowds, there also are some people who are just fed up with the way things are going in this country, similar to the feelings of those in her beloved Tea Party.
I invite Bredenberg to go to Netflix and rent the documentary “Inside Job.” She may see that the current mess is not actually the fault of those protesters she so despises, but rather a group of greedy people in high places in the business and political worlds.
As far as the Tea Party being “respectful,” I well remember their “respect” as they shouted down the representatives of Congress who were trying to hold town meetings.
