The solution to gun violence is not gun control

A recent letter insisted that an anti-gun control writer had given no solution to the shootings happening in America. I think the biggest problem with gun control advocates is they think the solution is getting rid of lawful ownership of guns. The real problem is the people who misuse guns.
Mass shootings were not so much a problem until the 1980s. Why? Because before then, people followed Biblical Judeo-Christian values. Values such as the value of life, the Ten Commandments, and the equality of humankind.
God has been rejected by America. The Ten Commandments has been removed from our schools and government. The hearts of our children are godless because of our choices. Bring God back into our schools and the government, and once again, our schools and cities might find peace.
