The Senate must vote to remove the president

During the Clinton presidency, Sen. Lindsey Graham said that impeachment is all about cleansing and restoring honor and integrity to the office of the president. It is necessary to listen to all of the evidence and let the facts do the talking.

But now that he has an obligation to either acquit or convict a Republican president, Graham says this impeachment is a hoax and a sham and he will do everything he can do to make it die quickly.

Sen. Mitch McConnell said he is in touch with the White House counselor to coordinate their strategy and that he knows the president will not be removed from office because no Republican will vote to convict him. This means McConnell plans to protect the president instead of having a fair trial.

Since all senators have to take an oath to be an impartial juror, how can they announce ahead of time, how they will vote before hearing the evidence without violating their oath? If the Republican senate votes to acquit President Donald Trump of all wrong doing, their message is loud and clear.

The senate, is allowing the president to betray his oath of office and endanger our national security by asking a foreign power (Ukraine) to interfere with a presidential election that benefits himself and not hold him accountable. This leaves him free to do it all over again. Remember a democracy doesn't die overnight, it slowly slips away.
