The GOP is the morality police

Republicans are campaigning on "White Christian Nationalism." The American morality police are ruling every aspect of our lives. Americans have had the freedom to choose our religion, marry those we love, control our health care and speak and vote our conscience. Now the far right leaders are banning books and dictating school curriculum and playing doctor.
Our governor has misused COVID funds and Iowa lost 10,000 citizens and many businesses to poor leadership. She has abused her authority by her dictatorial rulings. She shouldn't brag about a budget surplus when we have the most polluted air, water and worst roads and bridges in the U.S. along with failing schools and poor mental health care. Now another freebee for the rich, passing a 3.9 percent flat tax, this regressive tax won't benefit the people who need it.
Taxes pay for schools, infrastructure, law enforcement and everything needed to make Iowa a great place to live, but GOP leadership is failing Iowans. “Liberal” and “socialism” are dirty words to the GOP. While many corporations don't pay federal tax but receive research and development funding (socialism), we can't seem to help our less fortunate. We can bail out the banks, car companies and now give millions to farmers for debt relief due to Trump's tariffs and climate change but we are chastised for helping student loan debt.
