The false promise of American jobs

In Cal Thomas's Dec. 8 column, ('Candidates who want wealth tax violate ‘Thou shalt not covet'”) the writer was opposing Sen. Elizabeth Warren's proposed wealth tax. The writer went on to say, 'instead of encouraging the poor and middle class to make better decisions, and adopt better attitudes to help their chances of success. Sen Warren's camp promotes the belief that the rich and successful have achieved their wealth by robbing others.” Since the late 1990s when China came in, our CEOs and businesses have been scrambling to move America's factories and jobs. Then bringing back the products here at much bigger profits. Wealthy customer service call centers are still terminating American worker's jobs and moving those jobs to India for cheaper labor. 'Loyalty” from America's super rich to America's working people is gone. Too many of America's year-round, good-paying jobs have been moved out to foreign countries, leaving millions of Americans to do part-time, low-paying, no-benefits kind of jobs.
