To the editor:
As a non-profit organization serving individuals with intellectual and related disabilities, The Arc of East Central Iowa is aware that our programs and services are first rate. To support some of our mission, The Arc has some vehicles for field trips and other activities. The Arc tries to ensure that our vehicles are safe for all who ride.
Recently, The Arc sent one its vans to Albert Auto for routine care of its brakes. The company let us know there was some extensive work and that it was going to be a sizable expense. Of course, for the safety of those who count on us, we gave the OK. On Aug. 21, The Arc was notified that the repairs were done and the vehicle ready to pick up. On arrival, The Arc staff was notified that the bill had been paid in full by a generous individual and who wished to remain anonymous. This random act of kindness is truly appreciated. To the wonderful person who is responsible, The Arc cannot thank you enough.
