Thanks to IBEW Local 405 for parking support

The Iowa Veterans' Welcome Center board members and volunteers would like to thank the IBEW Local 405 for its financial support regarding the free parking for veterans near the Veterans Memorial Coliseum on May's Island.
The petition for this action started among volunteers who worked at the Iowa Veterans' Welcome Center and its visitors, which gained additional support from other veterans, community members, the Cedar Rapids City Council and the IBEW Local 405.
It became a collaborative effort, which shows the appreciation of the community for the service and sacrifices our veterans have made in the defense of this nation and the principles of democracy.
