Thanks to Garden Fair supporters

On behalf of the Project GREEN Steering Committee, we thank our volunteers, Carver-Hawkeye Arena, business sponsors and the many gardeners and friends who came out on a chilly, windy spring day to make the 43rd annual Garden Fair successful. More than $30,000 was raised for Project GREEN.

The inspiration for this event came from our founders. Their mission was to provide an inviting environment in which to live, work and play, and to make sure that the Iowa City area community provides citizens and visitors with attractive and welcoming green spaces. This vision continues today as Project GREEN through our non-profit organization and affiliate partners.

Our goal has remained the same throughout the 45 years of Project GREEN: serve by improving and enhancing our area's natural environment, primarily by beautifying green spaces such as parks, major community entryways, roadsides and median parkways and public school grounds.

We deeply appreciate our volunteers, our ongoing relationship with University of Iowa Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and the contributions of so many others. This extraordinary support is a tribute to our community, and all who believe in the mission of Project GREEN.
